When I was eleven years old, I made $70 for painting all of the billboards on our town’s Little League home run fence… my very first taste of fame AND fortune.

My father taught me how to draw letters and paint signs when I was young and I am still playing with type. I was trained in calligraphy by the late German artist, Franz Heigemeir and got my feet wet lettering names on the diplomas for the entire senior class of Bard College.

I have since designed Papyrus, Blackstone, Letterpress Text, Mirage, and Virus fonts and my logo and lettering work is featured in Leslie Cabarga’s book, Logo, Font & Lettering Bible.

Contact me for book title art, custom lettering, and calligraphy.
